Cure my public speaking/stage fright fear??
Ok, what can i do over the summer to cure this? It’s really a problem and my senior year is coming up….I NEED this skill. I can’t live in fear anymore. I also turn bright red at the slightest sign of attention on me.
Please, if anyone has been cured, what did you do?? Is there a course I can take, something online, such as hypnosis cd’s…anything like that?? And please don’t say practice, because i’ve done it plenty of times, it just never gets easy. I will do that anyway, so something besides practice….
Please, I’m desperate! I don’t want to be top 2 in my class just because I’ll have to give a speech!
Thanks!!

The best thing to do is to know your speech up and down and every which-a-way. If you don’t know it perfectly, there’s always that doubt in the back of your mind. Start off telling it to your friends…. then give it to a small group of friends… then a small group of strangers…then gradually more and more people.
It may take time… but you can do it! I’m almost over it, thanks to this strategy. Just about how nobody will ever remember if you mess up and nobody really cares. They’re only concerned about their own amusement. So don’t fret! : ) Good luck, hope I helped.
Always be really prepared so you know your subject better than those you are speaking to. Also, look your best so you don’t have to worry about how you look and then you can concentrate on your speech.
