I am almost 7 months pregnant, and I have tried many times to stop smoking. I am attempting once more. I get alot of pressure from my fiancee who also smokes. Also, he seems unwilling to even try to support me through this. My "friends" still light up right in fromt of me, to the fact where I have to leave the room just to not be around the smoke. Isit even possible to quit with all this going on? Any suggestions?

Review Stage Fright Hypnosis Download

Hi Everyone,

This is my review for the hypnosis download for dealing with Stage Fright from Barrie St John

of HYPNOSHOP.COM

To start with, here is the blurb from their website, read on for my personal review:

stage-fright

Say goodbye to stage fright with hypnosis!

Are you being presented an award, or have you been asked to be a guest speaker at an event?

Maybe you’ve been asked to play a part in a local theatre production, or to honour the life of a loved one departed.

No matter what the reason, standing in front of a group of people is not easy. When the event requires that you be on stage, feeling calm can seem like an impossible task.

Many of us experience tremendous fear and anxiety at the thought of being the focus of so much attention.

Even though we may view the opportunity to be on stage as a rare and special occasion, it doesn’t mean we aren’t afraid. Not everyone is given the chance to stand up in such a way, but this knowledge sometimes makes things worse.

Even though you want to overcome your stage fright, do you find yourself unable to envision the moment without getting tense? Do you begin to sweat or feel your pulse quicken when you think about it? Maybe you’re convinced you will trip over your words, forget what to say, or make an embarrassing mistake. Possibly you had a bad experience once before and facing it again ties your stomach in knots.

Whether it’s your first time or tenth, stage fright can affect you just the same.

It’s possible to overcome this sense of dread and impending doom, though.

You can walk onto that stage and perform like a pro.

You have the ability within you to radiate confidence while maintaining inner calm.

Imagine what it would be like to:

tickSay goodbye to your fear of being on stage!

tickConsider yourself a master public speaker!

tickFeel calm and confident during every performance!

Self hypnosis allows you to access the power of your creative unconscious (subconscious) and develop new ways of handling stressful situations like stage fright. This self hypnosis / hypnotherapy session will guide you in a visualization of the big event, free of fear. You will learn to regard speaking on stage as enjoyable by linking it to positive experiences in your past. A calm and confident air will soon replace your anxiety and stage fright, delighting both you and your audience alike. By listening to this hypnosis CD / MP3 hypnosis download, you can…

Feel calm and confident in front of a crowd!

MY PERSONAL REVIEW:

Barrie has a very soft, deep, relaxing voice with a slight Yorkshire accent which is very comforting. He starts off by taking you through the deep relaxation phase and in no time at all I could feel my muscles melting and my body feeling heavier as I relaxed into my armchair. He asks you to start counting down backwards from 300 but as usual, I could only get to about 280 before drifting off into a lovely relaxed, peaceful state.

‘Loose, Limp and relaxed’ is a common phrase he uses.

Barrie oftens uses the term ‘creativity of your unconscious mind ‘which really pinpoints the way these hypnosis products work by harnessing that creativity in such positive ways.

Another great phrase he uses is ‘ there is nowhere you have to be, nobody needs anything, the time is yours, not a care in the world, nothing at all for you to do except to relax and let go’ which for me, as a busy Mum and writer is a deeply relaxing thought in itself and not always easy to do so it’s always good to make time for yourself to enjoy such hypnosis sessions.

I like the choice of music and the 3D effects of his voice tracks makes for a very professional effect although I would expect nothing less than serious professionalism as Barrie currently sees his clients at his Harley Street Clinic, London.

After about 12 minutes Barrie’s relaxing words turn to the subject of stage fright .

Although you are drifting off into a wonderful trance like state, your unconscious mind however is still listening intently and uses his words to continue to make positive changes in your mindset before you go on stage.

Loose, limp…and relaxed…SO, once you are finally there…and subconsciously receptive to Barrie’s words:

drifting down…drifting deeper….Barrie really takes you deep with this one……..notice how wonderfully comfortable and relaxed you are..relaxed and peaceful.

He continues:…Allow your mind to drift back to a very special time in your life when you felt a strong feeling of confidence and pride, a time when you felt really good about yourself, replay the memory on the screen of your mind…float into the memory, really feel these feelings..make them bigger and stronger, brighter….feel feelings of confidence and pride….

Barrie is using classic NLP techniques here of anchoring past feelings to present situations so that you can recreate those powerful and confident feelings whenever you need them…the 3D voice effects are very effective here in deepening the anchors and enforcing the feelings of calm from deep within your unconscious mind.

Barrie then moves on to visualisation techniques which again are classic, tried and tested NLP techniques and your creative unconscious mind will respond to them in a very positive manner.

The effects of this hypnosis session will be cumulative so that it becomes more and more effective for dealing with stage fright and public speaking the more you use it. It would be the perfect aid to giving that best man’s speech you may have been dreading.

I’m impressed with this session and can understand how it would bring positive and profound changes to your personal life and public performances.

Leave a message at the bottom of this page if you would like further information on this stage fright hypnosis download and I will be happy to oblige you with more details.

Learn How Shyness Can Be Stopped Today

shy-boyIf you are shy, you know how difficult this emotional condition can be.  Shyness is difficult to combat.  There are steps that you can begin to take today learn how to get over shyness.

As a qualified NLP practitioner , I’m often asked about how to get over being shy, it is such a common issue and I remember as a child I was so shy I would hide behind my dad’s legs whenever anyone spoke to me. I’ve got over it now of course, the passing years have given me a lot of confidence in myself but I remember vividly the feelings of shyness and how difficult it can be to deal with those feelings.

A quick an easy way that I often recommend to my clients is to use self hypnosis to reach the subconscious mind with suggestions of confidence. It is often said that if you ‘act as if’  you are confident, then you will appear to be confident and therefore, will naturally become confident.

It’s really frustrating to see people around you enjoying themselves, easily talking and laughing with each other, and to feel completely out of it. Shyness and social anxiety can affect anyone, and it can really make social occasions difficult. It can make you feel tongue-tied and awkward, lost and inadequate. You may long for the ground to swallow you. Or for a magic wand to transform your shyness into confidence and ease.

Shyness is a natural part of growing up, which most people eventually come through as they mature into more confident adults. But the high emotions surrounding socializing when you are young can have a ‘conditioning’ effect which can make you respond to social events with fear instead of excitement and pleasure. Over time, this response becomes automatic and can start to feel as if it is part of your ‘identity’ – and fixed.

BUT IT ISN’T FIXED!

To help you make lasting changes to your confidence levels, I strongly recommend the hypnosis download
Overcome Shyness and Social Anxiety from Hypnosis Downloads.com.

Sometimes, people are shy around the opposite sex.  If this is the case, make it a practice to get out with your friends and start conversations.  Begin with short, small conversations with friends.  As time passes you will be able to increase the intensity of your discussions.

Tackle your shyness in small steps to overcome the difficulty.  Take it slow and easy.  Master each step before you move on.  The point of tackling shyness in steps is to give you time to develop skills and self-confidence.  It is also important to practice overcoming shyness every day.  This will build up your skills and self confidence.  After you have increased your confidence in easy situations it’s time to move to more difficult situations.

After you have worked through each difficulty for a few weeks, you will know when it is time to move on in developing your social skills.  Tackle each task on your list of overcoming shyness progressively.  This will almost guarantee that you will be able to overcome shyness.

One of the most important things you can do for yourself is practice.  You may want to practice in front of a mirror.  At least, imagine yourself in a challenging social situation.  Think of a situation that makes you nervous.  Once you do this, imagine a conversation, including the reactions of others. Then, you can visualize yourself responding appropriately.

Make sure you don’t let others do your talking on your behalf.  Sometimes friends or relatives of shy people speak up on the shy person’s behalf.  They are trying to be helpful, but it actually keeps you from talking for yourself.

Give yourself credit as you make progress.  Celebrate your ability to overcome shyness.  Do something good for yourself.  Share your progress with a friend.  Instead of beating yourself up with negative self talk, it is important to praise yourself as you make progress.

Driving Phobia Is A Real Illness

Nearly everyone who drives an automobile gets nervous at times from various factors such as driving in adverse weather conditions, traffic, or while driving over high bridges. But when the fear of driving becomes a driving phobia is when it can become disruptive and even dangerous.

Driving phobia symptoms can include feelings of intense fear, panic, chest pains, excessive sweating, dry throat, dizziness, and breathing difficulties. These scary symptoms are identical to what anxiety victims experience during a anxiety attack. In fact, it is common for people with anxiety disorders to have a driving phobia as well.

Technically speaking, the fear of driving is a type of Hodophobia which is basically the fear of travel. Hodophobia is also associated with the fear of flying, fear of trains, or even fear of unfamiliar open places or of interaction with strangers. Hodophobia is categorized under the broad umbrella of various anxiety disorders.

driving-fear-programBy FAR THE BEST solution that I have come across for panic attacks while driving is the Driving Fear Program by Rich Presta. It is a beautfully put together and well researched package that is extremely effective.

Fear of driving a car can make life very difficult for people who suffer from it and rely on driving as their primary mode of transportation. Similar to anxiety and panic disorders, it can often progress in intensity and become more debilitating over time. People who suffer from Hodophobia or fear of driving often avoid traveling whenever possible.  This is obviously difficult if someone has to commute to work each day by car.

There are many reasons why fear of driving can take place.  For many, it is caused by generalized or situational anxiety that is triggered by the stress of driving itself.  For others, it can be the memories of past car accident or similar event or trauma that can cause fear of driving.  Yet others can have a specific driving phobia such as the fear of driving over bridges, the fear of highway driving, or of driving in snow.

While these fears are difficult for non-sufferers to understand, the fear of driving a car is a very real condition. If left untreated, it can progress to the point where the person will give up driving all together.

The fear of driving phobia becomes dangerous when a person experiences a full-blown panic attack while behind the wheel. The physical symptoms can become so intense that a person could literally lose control of their car before they know it.  There are many documented cases of people crashing their vehicles in such circumstances causing injury or even death.

The good news is that fear of driving is highly treatable. In less severe cases, simple techniques can be used to avoid road anxiety. The first method of fear of driving treatment is for the person to learn breathing techniques that can be used in the moment to calm them down during these episodes. This can be combined with listening to soothing, relaxing music while driving to help promote relaxation and a sense of self-control. Another idea is for the person to simply pull off the road (in a safe location) and take a time out. Sometimes just parking the car for a few minutes and regaining composure can reverse the physical symptoms.

If these simple methods don’t work there are more advanced treatment methods like Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Hypnotherapy can help reprogram ones conscious thoughts that cause driving fears.  While this sounds technical it really isn’t and is a very effective treatment method for driving phobia.  NLP is basically a  study and practice of increasing the positive habits and reducing the negative ones that affect behavior.

The most important thing for people who suffer from fear of driving to do is to take action and seek out treatment now, before things get worse.

Driving Fear Program – Is It For Real?

Whenever I come across a product that looks great, I like to let other people know about it.

I am seriously impressed with the way Rich Presta has put together his Driving Fear Program.

It is the most comprehensive program to learn how to deal with driving anxiety and panic while driving I have seen. It is the follow on program to the Panic Puzzle and Rich  has refined the methods he learned from putting the panic puzzle together and made a suberb presentation that, as a long term sufferer of panic attacks while driving, I can thoroughly recommend.

Author Rich Presta put together the Panic Puzzle system because he himself struggled with panic attacks. First, he turned to the past and researched essentially every method of treatment that had ever been tried.

Rich took the best of these time-tested methods and added modern techniques to come up with The Puzzle Panic program.

The Panic Puzzle package comes with a written and recorded version of an e-book as well as quite useful bonus material (for example, relaxation recordings). This is a digital program, so you download the material immediately. The graphics and layout of all the material are very attractive.

Mr. Presta’s writing style is conversational, friendly and easy to understand. The information is presented very clearly and crisply with no extraneous fluff.

The instruction starts with an explanation of the nature of fear, panic and anxiety. Next there is a series of exercises to help the reader identify their own patterns of fear and anxiety.

After this you learn how to interrupt your fear cycle and then completely dissolve your fears and anxieties.

The techniques are effective but Mr. Presta does not provide any references or additional resources for further exploration. I would’ve appreciated it if he had done so.

On the other hand, this is meant to be a a program to be applied rather than a course on psychological theory. It succeeds very well in giving effective information in a concise “here’s what to do” format.

The author is direct without being abrupt.

I was a little surprised to find that the program ended with a fairly extensive section on time management, goal setting and what Mr. Presta refers to as “life strategies”.

The main reason this section was included was to help people overcome an obstacle they often run into when they have to learn new techniques – not enough time.

Though this didn’t deal directly with anxiety it became one of my favorite parts of the program.

The manual provides everything you need to and panic attacks, but the additional materials that come with the program are extremely helpful.

All in all, this is an excellent program that I can highly recommend.

You can find a more detailed panic puzzle review at: Panic Puzzle Review

And here’s a site to visit if you want to find out more about everything that the course includes right away: Panic Puzzle Info

The Internet has made effective, problem-solving information readily available. If you are troubled by panic attacks or an anxiety disorder, take advantage of the availability of this course – check out Panic Puzzle.

The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll be free of panic attacks once and for all.

Review Hypnosis Downloads Stop Smoking

My review for the ’10 Steps to Become a Non Smoker’ hypnosis series by Hypnosis Downloads.

As always I’m impressed by the quality of products from Hypnosis Downloads and this one is no exception. The best part is that you don’t even need to TRY to stop smoking until you have finished listening to all 10 parts of the hypnosis sessions.

Their blurb:

Would you rather be an ex-smoker that craves cigarettes
- or a non-smoker who never gives them a thought?

Take the 10 Steps to Become a Non-Smoker

10 steps to become a non-smoker addresses every single psychological trick that smoking addiction plays on you and frees you from its grip.

The 10 hypnosis sessions will gently move your mind from its current addicted state to complete freedom from cigarettes.

No longer will you be controlled by the need to smoke. No more planning your day so you can smoke, no more running outside at work or at parties, no more worrying whether you have enough cigarettes left.

You will be a real non-smoker afterwards – someone who can’t imagine why they ever smoked.

Don’t stop smoking until you’re ready

The wonderful thing about 10 Steps to Become a Non-Smoker is that you can continue to smoke while you do the program. You only quit when you reach the stage where you don’t want to smoke any more.

Yes, you heard that right “

HypnosisDownloads.com is part of a professional psychology training organization based near London, England. The parent company, Uncommon Knowledge, runs professional-level training courses for hypnotherapy practitioners, as well as courses and services for the general public. All of the downloads at HypnosisDownloads.com have been created by Roger Elliott and Mark Tyrrell, the directors of Uncommon Knowledge.

MY REVIEW:

Hypnosis Downloads start by sending out a welcome email , congratulating you on your decision to become a non-smoker and giving instructions on how to start the course. They stress the point that they don’t want you to stop smoking until you just don’t feel like smoking any more, which I feel is the most compelling point of this programme.

There are eleven hypnosis sessions, 10 from the programme itself and a bonus download called ‘Stay Stopped’.

You should listen to one download per day, repeating any sessions that you are not sure about before moving on to the next session at your own pace. The process is not about thinking, not about conscious thought, it’s about your feelings, your gut instincts.

All in all, this is a very comprehensive stop smoking hypnosis series that will reach deep into your subconscious until you just don’t want to smoke any more.

Let me know how you get on, leave your message at the bottom of this page.

Stop Smoking Hypnosis Sessions:

1. How smoking brainwashes

This session enables you to see clearly how certain beliefs can hold smoking in place and how smoking dictates to you. It gives you the chance to see it clearly for what it is and make healthy choices and begins to gently free you from its grip.

stop-smoking2

2. The parasite and the host

This session helps you become more objective about the true relationship between yourself and cigarettes, giving you the freedom to choose whether you want to smoke any more. This isn’t about scaring you, it’s about giving you the perspective of a non-smoker, and the power to make your own choices.

stop-smoking33. The abusive relationship
Together we begin to explore further the way smoking uses you and how to end the ‘abusive relationship’ for good. You’ll be ready to finish that abusive relationship and determined not to fall for tobacco in future.

stop-smoking4

4. When smoking starts to squeeze
Some behaviors fit for a while but you wouldn’t wear the same roller skates at forty as you did at four!
Find out how stopping smoking is really all about growing out of it and experience what that feels like.

stop-smoking55. Breaking the chains that bind
This session will help you see how smoking artificially becomes associated to times, people, places and activities where it does not truly belong and help you to ‘un-hook’ these disabling associations – this is what gets rid of cravings.

stop-smoking76. Living under a dictatorship
When you first started to smoke did you feel like a rebel? Well smoking is a dictator – rebel against it! You learn that most of you never really wanted to smoke at all and only a small, addicted part of you had been ‘colluding with the enemy!’
That’s how addiction works, and the cigarette companies know it only too well.
Turn your mind and body back into a democracy with this session.

TESTIMONIALS:

Testimonials for the Quit Smoking – Stay Stopped Hypnosis Download

“After 25 years of smoking I have totally quit”
by Dr Candan Esin MD GP

I am a general physician dealing in psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. That is a MD GP, pscho-hypnotherapist & EFT’ist. I divorced and faced bankruptcy several years ago and during that mourning period I felt some pain in my chest. I was smoking one pack/a day for around 26 years. I had an MRI and found that there was a narrowing of 30% in the descending coronary artery, and the situation was serious so I decided to quit.

Several attempts have failed due to “I don’t want to stop smoking because I love it” excuse. This time I really decided to quit and also was trying to go back to my own profession as physician (I was doing marketing training in the pharma industry). I had a chance to train in hypnosis and psychotherapy consequetively. During hypnosis training I decided to quit by the help of hypnosis but to be on the safe side I also started Zyban. I could not find a proper hypnotist here in Turkey (a non-expensive one I mean), so I decided to go through a downloaded recording.

I wanted to stop smoking and needed somebody that was not dictating to me to stop smoking. I listened to the ‘10 Steps to Become a Non-Smoker‘ downloads at the same time every day. Gradually I refrained from smoking and later I totally quit. I listened the download every day at 11:00 a.m., the time when my urges were highest.

After 25 years of smoking now I have totally quit smoking and can not cope anybody smoking near me. The fume of the cigarette suffocates me. After all those unsuccessful trials, now I feel like I have never smoked cigarettes.

The best part is I can not remember the smoking actions and feelings associated with it. This is the best aid I could have received, and being a medical doctor I recommend the download to my patients who understands clean English.

This story came from Dr Candan Esin MD GP who is a general physician dealing in psychotherapy and hypnotherapy from Istanbul, Turkey

“It has now been 1 month and 3 days”
by Maria

I really want to say thank you so much. I used to think I will never be able to quit smoking (more than 1 pack a day) but after downloading the program I did it!!! in just one week. It has been now 1 month and 3 days.
Thanks again,
Maria

“Forget the patches, forget the gum, get this download it really does work”
by Simon Barnees

I was a little unsure before downloading as it was the first time I had anything to do with hypnosis so I didn’t know if it would work for me.

I’m 41 years of age and have been smoking cigarettes since the age of 11 years. I have lost count of the number of times trying to free myself from the filthy habit. Countless numbers of cigarette packets under the tap, only to buy a pack the next day and choof away with lots of angst.

I purchased your ‘10 Steps to Become a Non-Smoker‘. I listened to each step about three times a day and some days I listened to 2 steps in 1 day. After 4 days I was ready to stop smoking and I did so. It has been 6.5 weeks since my last cigarette. I managed to stop with the slightest of cravings, your download has made it painless, I just wish I was aware of it 20 years ago. Forget the patches, forget the gum, get this download it really does work.

This story came from Simon Barnees who is an Electrician from Warranwood, Australia

“Since I tried it I haven’t smoked”
by Nigel Buchanan

“I thought that this would be like any other kind of scam or something that you would buy and listen to thinking it was working and make it feel that way in your head.”

“When I tried the ‘ Exercise Motivation‘ download it really started to work – I gained 6 pounds and started getting back into shape now I’m back in kick boxing and loving every minute of it because I can do those fun things again now.”

“I had tried Exercise Motivation and Quit Smoking – Stay Stopped – it was a circle trying to get in to shape while smoking so I thought I might just try to do both. Since I tried these excellent products I haven’t smoked or missed a gym work out I’m pretty confident they have given me the drive to get on with my life again and live a lot more healthy.”

This story came from Nigel Buchanan who is in Retail from Victoria, B.C.

“I hate cigarettes so much that I am positive I will never smoke again
by Steve Weinfurter

“I had never used hypnosis before and just wasn’t sure I should trust in it to work for me.”

“After smoking for 38 years I wanted to quit but didn’t think I could do it. I decided to try the Quit Smoking Stay Stopped hypnosis download. I listened to it 3 times and set a date to quit. On that date I listened to it just before I smoked for the last time, then just quit, I was able to go 1 maybe 2 days before I would listen to it again to help me get through the urge to smoke, after a week I no longer needed to listen to the hypnosis and don’t need the cigarettes anymore.”

“It has been over 3 months since I last smoked and hate the cigarettes so much that I am positive I will never smoke again.”

“Any smoker who wants to quit but can’t for what ever reason. It worked so well for me that I can’t imagine it not working for anyone who has even a small urge to do it.”

This story came from Steve Weinfurter who is a Supervisor from Kewaskum, Wisconsin USA

positive-hypnosis-thThe ability to think positively is a vital element of personal growth. But, I have to admit that here are times when positive thinking seems distant and difficult to achieve. However, thinking positively is somehow more enabled when you’re in a good mood.
Here are 5 ways you can achieve instant happiness when you need that boost of positivity:

1. Create a “happiness” playlist
Music has been used to aid therapy for many years and has been clinically proven to have the ability to change a person’s mood. Research has shown that different types of beats, melodies and rhythms can affect the brain in many ways — effectively impacting a person’s mood and stress levels. Since upbeat music has been clinically proven to have a positive effect on mood, create a playlist of your favorite upbeat tunes, load up your iPod and get into the happy groove whenever and wherever you want!

2. Laugh.
Laughter has been shown to increase endorphin activity in your bodies, which directly result in a heightened sense of overall well-being. Also, laughter can energize you in addition to enhancing your body’s immune response. Maintain your sense of humor and go out there and have a good, deep, laugh.

3. Express gratitude
It’s very easy to slip into dissatisfaction with life when comparisons with other people are often made. In fact, it is through helping others who are in need that you are reminded about how much you really have. Make it a daily effort to express your gratitude — this can effectively change your perception of what you have or don’t have, immediately uplifting your mood and increasing your happiness.

4. Perform a random act of kindness
Few people realize this but altruistic deeds often increases your emotional well being. By doing something nice for someone else, you unwittingly spread happiness that eventually reflects off the person and heads right back to you. Smiles and happiness are contagious — especially when shared.

5. Meditate
Most of us associate meditation with stress management or as a relaxation tool. What most people fail to recognize is that the deeper relaxation that is achieved by meditation can induce higher levels of happiness. Search up a meditation technique to try and feel deep joy wash over you in mere minutes!

Personal growth is not always effortless. But when you’re happy, it sure seems as if it is. So keep a smile on your face, and your mood right up there with the blue skies with these 5 techniques and sail through your journey of personal growth!

A very successful and  relaxing way of developing a positive attitude is by using self-hypnosis. This can ease your stress and clear your mind just by lying back and letting the words wash over you and touch your deep subconscious.

I am impressed with the ‘Develop a Powerfully Positive Attitude ‘ self hypnosis download from Hypnosis Downloads.com.

At $12.95 for an instant download (with a 90 day full refund if you are not happy with it), you can begin the process straight away.

I’m very comfortable with recommending products from Hypnosis Downloads.com as they are always of a very high quality and this one is no exception. Marks starts of by speaking about the benefits of having a positive attitude for about 5 minutes before beginning the blissful process of relaxing you just enough that his suggestions and ideas will tap into your unconscious mind and help you without you having to do a thing !

positive-hypnosisHypnosis can transform your outlook from negative to positive

But if you are of a pessimistic bent, either by nature or because your circumstances or social influences have molded you that way, how can you set about training in developing and maintaining a new, dynamic, realistic, mind-set that focuses on the positive?

Positive attitude is an audio hypnosis session which combines the powerful effects of hypnotic suggestion with carefully researched psychological insights to help you create and instill the mind-set that will best serve you in life. It will tap into your unconscious mind and allow you to bring about a complete transformation in your outlook.”

My Hypnosis Download recommendation

alexI’m a qualified hypnotherapist andNLP practitioner and I use downloadable hypnosis products all the time for both personal use and client recommendations. There are so many really good, professional companies who develop excellent products that are effective for many problems and issues that occur during our daily lives.

However, there are many out there who are just looking to make a quick buck online and the presentation and development is not up to standard and can often do more harm than good ! The Internet is awash with web sites which offer hypnosis products and services that have not been created by qualified professionals, nor are they based on current research-based practices. Some of these programs are of limited or no use, while others may do more harm than good. The company I recommend and use for myself and clients work within strict ethical guidelines to ensure that every program meets the highest professional standards, based on current research and knowledge.

The company I use daily for myself, my family and my clients is Hypnosis Downloads.

They are probably the largest and most successful of the many Hypnosis Download Sites that are out there on the internet. I only deal with the ones I can personally recommend and I find to be professional, reliable and efficient to deal with.

Their site is very large and easy to navigate with PLENTY of information of their multitude of hypnosis downloads and scripts. They have over 540 hypnosis downloads which include CDs, DVDs and MP3s.

Hypnosis Downloads is part of a professional psychology training organization based near London, England. The parent company, Uncommon Knowledge, runs professional-level training courses for hypnotherapy practitioners, as well as courses and services for the general public.

All of the downloads at HypnosisDownloads.com have been created by Roger Elliott and Mark Tyrrell, the directors of Uncommon Knowledge, with occasional contributions from course trainers.

They offer a 100% 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee so if your hypnosis downloads don’t give you the results you are hoping for, simply let them know within 90 days and they’ll refund you in full. No questions asked.

I’ve used so many of their hypnosis products with great success and I’m very comfortable with my recommendation for any of their products.

paralysed-by-driving-fearThe term ‘paralysed by fear’ took on a new meaning for me today when I suddenly came into the same situation that used to trigger panic attacks while driving on motorways or highways.

I have been fighting against panic attacks while driving for several years now ( see my original story at www.fear-go.com).

Yesterday, I was driving up to North Wales on the M6 ( for those who don’t know it, a very busy highway in the UK ) now, I hadn’t had a panic attack for several months since I started working with a well known driving fear programme. However, this one came totally out of the blue!

I was driving in the slow lane of the three lane motorway travelling at normal speed feeling totally confident when suddenly I noticed there were roadworks coming up, “Fine I thought, I don’t have motorway claustrophobia issues any more”.

Picture the scene, three lanes of traffic, speed reduced to a safe 50 miles an hour, me in the slow lane, a truck in front and another truck behind, cars to the right of me and a long, long line of taffic cones of my left , soon followed by a metal barrier that seemed to stretch for miles!

This was the nightmare scenario that previously used to trigger panic attacks as a feeling of total claustrophia and of being trapped would rush over me and I would become light headed and was convinced I would faint while driving and cause a horrendous accident.

I’ve worked hard to deal with these issues using hypnotherapy and following a brilliant driving fear program and I really felt I had left it far, far behind me so, where this came from yesterday I just don’t know.

FIGHT YOUR DRIVING FEAR WITH THE  ” DRIVING FEAR PROGRAMME “

Yesterday, there was no getting out of it, I couldn’t stop and I couldn’t pull over , I just had to keep driving. I could feel myself becoming very light headed and very tense, it rapidly turned into the worst panic attack I had ever experienced, I could feel my hands tightening around the steering wheel, I tried to shake them out and loosen them up but my fingers were turning rigid, almost like a giant cramp beginning to work through me.

I remembered the exercises I had learned on my driving fear programme, keep breathing, deeply and slowly, although people FEEL like they will faint, they never do, you can breathe right through it.

I focussed so hard on breathing, breathe, drive, breathe, drive, I had opened my window to let in some cool area, I can’t imagine what the person in the car beside me must have thought as there I was, turning white, breathing deeply, in and out, the same breathing exercises I had used when dealing with labour pains !

I kept on focussing and breathing until the roadworks cleared and traffic started spreading out and moving again.

I had got through it safely. This was the first time in all my panic attacks that I had not been able to pull over or stop and the best, most amazing thing of the whole experience is that I have now learned that I can deal with it, I can focus and breathe my way through the worst ever panic attack and keep on driving.

Soon after the roadworks cleared, I was able to pull over into a motorway cafe. I was shaking from head to toe, I literally had to peel my fingers off the steering wheel, I got out of the car to stretch my legs not even sure if my shaking legs could hold me up.

Of course they did, and I got over it and I’m still here to tell the tale but it certainly came to mind that this was exactly how it feels to be ‘rigid with fear’ or ‘paralysed with fear’.

fight-your-driving-fearThe best part of this story and the reason why I write about it, is that after I had taken a break and my heart had stopped racing and my body felt relaxed and normal again , what did I do?

Armed with my new confidence that I could actually breathe my way through and take control of my emotions , I jumped right back on the motorway again to continue my journey, expecting that there would NOT be any more roadworks that would be quite as long !!

How wrong can you be !!

About an hour later I started to see roadwork signs again but instead if panicking, knowing that I could breathe my way through and control my emotions I just laughed and yelled to myself “BRING IT ON”!

Sure enough, the cones were there, the metal barriers were there the trucks and the traffic were there, the EXACT SAME SCENARIO, but, GUESS WHAT??

NOT the same me!

Fight Your Driving Fear Programme

This was the new me that knows how to take steps to deal with the paralysing fear had just experienced.

Somewhere , in my subconscious, all the hypnosis sessions that I had previously taken jumped in and helped me through my ‘crisis’ but , more importantly, the lessons I had learned from the Driving Fear Programme all came into effect in the most spectacular way.

I know there are many people out there who like the ‘old me’ suffer from debilitating fear while driving so please, take the steps to help yourself, it CAN be done, I’m living proof that you can fight your fear, help is out there that WILL see you though the worst of your driving fears!

Review Golf Putting Hypnosis Download

Mark Tyrrell Director Uncommon Knowledge Hypnosis Downloads

review-golf-putting-hypnosis-downloadReview: Putt Like a Pro Hypnosis Download
20 minutes long, UK accent.

You know what it’s like – you’re on the green, you’re doing your best to relax, the putt doesn’t look too bad…then your arms do something stupid, the ball contact feels all wrong and the putt is missed.

The best golfers in the world have off days on the green, but most of the time, their putting works.
So what do they know that the rest of us don’t?

puttingThey know how to lay down ‘perfect play blueprints’ in their mind before they play. The act of powerfully rehearsing the desired movements in your mind ‘grooves out’ the mental path, so when it comes to taking that putt, your brain knows exactly what to do.

To putt reliably, you need to train your instincts to feel automatically relaxed and ‘in the zone’ every time you putt. Hypnosis is the optimum training tool because every putt can be perfect
when you practice hypnotically. When you use ‘Putt like a pro’ you will program your instincts to relax on the green and deliver your best putt every time.

This golf putting hypnosis download session f rom Hypnosis Downloads is spoken by Mark Tyrrell who has a very calming and relaxing British accent.

He starts by talking a little about staying ‘in the moment’ so that all thoughts of the shot you just hit and what might happen AFTER you hit the shot just disappear and there is ONLY THE PRESENT. You MUST stay ‘IN THE NOW’ and the fantastic or lousy shot you just hit does not exist once you have played it.’

Did you know that positive thinking can be just as bad for your golf as negative thinking?

Studies on ‘state of flow’ have shown that during periods of peak performance, sportsmen and women have exceedingly low levels of corticol in their brains which means, that when athletes are ‘in the zone’ they just don’t ‘think’ at all.

To play your sport well, you need to become totally focussed and totally at one with what you are doing.

golf-holeThe hypnosis download ‘Putt Like a Pro‘ will help you to become ‘one with your putt’ and is going to become a natural part of the way you play golf every time.

Mark begins the breathing and relaxation stage, I always love this bit and the more you get used to letting your body relax so deeply the easier it becomes each time. As soon as the lovely trance-like stage is reached, Mark starts making the suggestions that will help your subconscious to make lasting changes to your putting technique and will definitely help to reduce your handicap. Being in a semi hypnotised state is just like daydreaming or being in that stage just after you wake up, before you start moving to get out of bed.

Mark begins the suggestion stage: “Begin to dream a dream, get the sense of how your putter feels when you hold it. Imagine setting up for a medium to long putt, almost like in a dream, you are going to become one with the putt, become with the hole and your mind will be empty of all reality, present, past or future. After each shot, its going to be like coming out of trance again. Your mind is empty so your instincts are going to take care of how you putt. You, the club, the action of putting and the hole are as one. ”

Mark continues:” This time, you are going to perform a supreme, zen like 6′ putt and you are going to be one with the movement, notice becoming one with this putt, as all else fades from your mind as you make your stroke, the sensation in your hands as your club face caresses the ball, the ball rolling confidently, knowingly towards the hole and dropping gently in it, with that sweet, sweet sound !”

He speaks more about different length putts and ” how it feels to make them which helps to develop your instinct and feel for the stroke, feeling that you become ‘one with your putt’, becoming incredibly peacefully, solidly focussed on the ball and the hole as you make your putt with beautiful smoothness and watch in a semi interested way as the ball makes its way to the hole.

putting-antique-ladyI really enjoyed this putting hypnosis download and it made me feel so confident about putting that I can’t wait to get out on the course again.

It’s a great habit to get into that will drastically help your putting, once you have developed the mental technique of imagining your putts, you can build on it at any time, when you have a nap, just before you go to sleep or in that lovely peaceful time just after you wake up. Just keep your eyes closed and see and feel a few different putts on different greens, different lengths, practise feeling the calmnesss, picture your perfect technique so that putting comes naturally and easily for you and you can relax into your putts.

I can recommend the ” Putt Like a Pro Hypnosis Download from Mark Tyrrel of Hypnosisdownloads.com and I will definitely put this on my list of regular self hypnosis/relaxation sessions that I use to bring a sharper mental edge to my golf game.

I’m currently a 12 handicap golfer and I play my best golf in a match play situation,putting-ancient-golfer I ALWAYS finish strongly and I credit my improved mental edge to the several golfing hypnosis sessions that I do on a regular basis. You would AMAZED how often a ‘snippet’ from one of the sessions will just appear ‘out of nowhere’ to help me out mentally when the going gets tough out on the course.

Hypnosis really gives you the mental edge for your golf game!

You can download ‘Putt like a pro’ now and notice the difference on your very next round…

What is the Worst Lie in Golf?

Let us begin with a few myth busters shall we?

Myths:

1) If you have a perfect golf swing you’ll have a perfect game.

2) You can buy a better game

3) Technology has lowered golfers scores

Most every golfer subscribes to these beliefs in one way or another. The entire golf instruction, training aid, and golf club making market bear this out. Golf magazines, tv shows, and article after article offer tips, fixes, cures and virtually every imaginable training aid conceivable to craft the perfect swing. All with the pretense of helping you play better golf.

Well has it worked? Let’s take a look…

In 1978 75% of all golfers never broke 90 – so barely 25% ever shot in the 80′s.

In 2004, a full 26 years later, after the advent of 460CC drivers with 45″ multi-kick point shafts, cavity back irons, balls that prevent hooks and slices, and world class instruction from the smartest minds in the buz, that number has been increased by a whopping 3%!

Now a full 28% of all golfers have broken 90. But hey, let’s cut the industry some slack, there’s only been 90+ billion spent on golf equipment over that time! That doesn’t include lessons or training aids! All that technology and collective wisdom and this is how far we’ve come…impressive, huh.

Seriously, any other business that produced numbers like these for their customers would be out of business. But the golfing public has an insatiable appetite that an ever growing horde of manufacturers and marketers are more than willing to feed.

Ok, do you want to pay me now or later for the moral booster? What? This doesn’t get you pumped about your prospects of dropping your handicap by 10 strokes by buying the next training aid?

You mean to tell me you’re not going to do that $2,500 re-shafting, ball changing, loft angle adjusting, launch angle increasing, club-fitting session you had booked for next Saturday? Hmmm, was it something I said?

As golfers we are bombarded with instruction tips, training options, and product offerings that’ll have your head spinning faster than Paris Hilton after swizzeling a half dozen Crantini’s.

Where’s the moral you ask?

So where’s the moral of this myth busting story? Do we all just give up trying to improve?

Absolutely not. We all need to fulfill that important human craving of getting better at what we love. Yet where we place our attention to achieve this goal is what has to change. Our core beliefs about what causes improvement should be based on reality, not myths. They should empower us, not encourage wishful thinking and needlessly empty our wallets.

“So if it isn’t gear that makes us better maybe it’s lessons,”

did I hear you say?

Certainly lessons are an asset and obviously accelerate your skill development yet they’re not absolutely essential either. Ask Lee Trevino, Jim Furyk, Chris Dimarco and countless others who are self taught. And I think we can all agree that there isn’t much “pretty” about any of their swings.

Do you think any of them were intent on crafting the perfect swing?

Yet if we look at things from a different perspective maybe they do have perfect swings. Why? Because they work! Golf ain’t a beauty contest.

In the final analysis there is only one area that promotes the quickest and most lasting change in any golfers game. And what’s interesting about it is this is the only area that doesn’t cost a penny to use, yet almost no-one uses it.

That area is the often quoted 6 inches between your ears!

Your mind !!

The mental game.

Using your mind in a strategic, methodical and focused way is the surest method of lowering your scores. Period.

If you want to run out and spend $500 on a new driver and another $1000 or more on irons to make you play better, feel free. You might be that one in a million that changes the statistics. I realize we’ll all buy nice gear once in a while but we can’t buy it with a belief that this will seriously lower our scores.

Needless to say, this article won’t be sponsored by Taylor Made or Nike any time soon. I don’t help sell much golf equipment! No, my approach to lowering your handicap, improving your swing, and increasing your satisfaction leans towards inner change before outer gains.

True improvement only begins when we first assess where we are in relation to our goal. Then we must take an inventory of all the things that have actually produced measurable results. Which means no denial! We can’t hope to move our game to the next level by hanging on to a lie, now can we? If you do then that’s what I call a real “hanging lie”. And that is the worst lie in golf.

Each and every one of us has the innate ability to tap our own potential and transform any part of our lives, including golf. We just require the right road map and a good compass to keep us on target.

It’s time to wake up and smell the napalm or the myths that cloud our brains will keep us believing we can buy a better game.

Bob Rotella’s Cure for the Thinking Athlete

Doc Rotella’s Cure for the Thinking Athlete

By HOLLY BRUBACH

New York Times

Brad Faxon initially sought out Rotella’s help in 1984, at the end of his first year on the tour, when he finished 124th on the money list and barely held onto his card. Faxon’s strong suit was undoubtedly his skill with a wedge and a putter; he was, understandably, concentrating on other aspects of his game — trying to hit the ball straighter, to cultivate more power in his swing. Rotella convinced him that his emphasis was misplaced and encouraged him to milk his strengths as a source of confidence. ”You don’t have to be the best driver in the world,” Rotella recalls telling him, ”because you’ve got a great short game and a great mind.” With work and over time, Faxon has become even better around the greens, so that now many people consider him the best putter on the tour. He has earned a spot on the past two Ryder Cup teams; last year, he finished eighth on the money list. ”He’s really learned to love his game,” Rotella says, ”and not wish he had somebody else’s.”

Faxon says his work with Rotella has taught him that ”if you’re going to achieve excellence in sport, you’ve got to have the long-term memory of your successes, not your failures.” It is tempting to attribute the success of Rotella’s methods to that time-worn formula, the power of positive thinking, and Rotella acknowledges that there’s an element of that at work in what he does. But, he says, it isn’t crucial: ”I tell people: If you don’t want to get into positive thinking, that’s O.K. Just eliminate all the negative thoughts from your mind, and whatever’s left will be fine.”

Rotella’s earliest lessons in sports psychology came when, growing up in Rutland, Vt., he played on the baseball, football and basketball teams at Mount St. Joseph Academy — a Catholic high school in a working-class neighborhood. ”And we absolutely knew we were going to win,” he says. ”First, because we figured that the kids on the other side of town had money, therefore they were spoiled, therefore we were tougher. And second, because the opposing team assumed that we had God on our side, since all the nuns were praying for victory.” Rotella reasoned that if you had God on your side, you would win all the time; since Mount St. Joseph lost on occasion, he concluded that winning was a matter of attitude, not divine intervention.

The grandson of Sicilian immigrants, Rotella was the second of five children; his six aunts lived nearby. A big family in a small town, the Rotellas took enormous pride in having survived various hardships, and they communicated that sense of pride to every one of the children. In fact, as Rotella describes his siblings and relations, they begin to sound remarkably like a team: Team Rotella, moving in formation on life’s playing field, with each member contributing to the collective glory.

At Castleton State College in Vermont, where Rotella was captain of the basketball and lacrosse teams, he began working with mentally retarded children, teaching them basketball and swimming. Later, while earning a master’s in physical education for the handicapped and a doctorate in sports psychology at the University of Connecticut, he taught sports skills to disabled students. ”I started with the kids and adults who are the most difficult to teach,” Rotella says, ”and since then I’ve worked with the most gifted athletes. Talent means nothing to me. Performance in the long run has way more to do with what you bring to it than with natural ability. I get the same kick helping some retarded kid come in third in the Special Olympics as I do working with the winner of the U.S. Open.”

Rotella’s approach is low-tech and low-key, a far cry from that of, say, Deborah Graham, another sports psychologist who counsels golfers on the pro tour. She begins her work with a standardized one-hour questionnaire — the Cattell 16 Personality Factor Inventory — and then generates a 50-page individualized report. By comparison, a typical first session with Rotella generally lasts two days at his house in Charlottesville, Va., where hardly a week goes by without a client coming or going; his wife, Darlene, and his daughter, Casey, 14, have grown accustomed to a steady stream of house guests. Consultations take place in the basement, in an office furnished with a couch, a universal gym, a TV and a VCR; a putting cup has been sunk into the floor. Much of the time is spent talking. (His fee, a flat day rate, is the same for everyone.) With golfers, he may propose playing a round, but even then he leaves their mechanics — their timing and their form — untouched.

Graham says that the chief difference between her approach and Rotella’s is that, as a practicing psychotherapist, she brings a clinical perspective to the problems at hand. In the name of golf, she delves into such things as players’ marital crises, their addiction to alcohol — subjects that may lie beyond Rotella’s focus. For his part, he asks athletes to articulate their dreams, their experiences in competition. Mostly, he listens. He forces them to examine the doubts they bring to their own abilities. In many cases, his contribution is ”motivational,” licensing audacious hopes and expectations that skeptics would regard as ”unrealistic.”

In April, Dana Quigley quit his job, to give the tour another try. In August, he won his first Senior P.G.A. tour event, the Northville Long Island Classic. He credits Rotella with preparing him for victory, as well as with helping him surmount what may have been the biggest obstacle he faced — his misgivings about not being a constant presence in the lives of his children. ”Bob made me realize that the best gift I could give them was for them to see me chasing my own dream — that whether or not I’m a success out here, that example is something I’ll leave with them for the rest of their lives,” Quigley says.

Bob Rotella Psychology BooksThe most popular mental prescriptions for athletes these days focus on concentration to the exclusion of other factors — like commitment and confidence — that Rotella considers equally important. The objective is to help players get into that magical mental place known as ”the zone.” Rotella is all in favor of the zone but thinks it’s too fugitive to be made the basis of anybody’s game: ”I tell players, If two or three times a year you were in the zone for a whole round, that’d be fantastic — but it isn’t as if we know how to reproduce that. The guys who are great are great because of how they play when they’re not in the zone.”

It is this preparing for the worst in addition to envisioning the best that sets Rotella apart from the positive thinkers. His philosophy — that golf is ”a game of mistakes played by human beings who are born flawed” — is surprisingly radical in a sport that tends to encourage perfectionism. In Rotella’s world, whoever scores the best while making mistakes wins.

He is also intent on cultivating ”trust” — the conviction that under pressure you will replicate the shot that you can hit 10 out of 10 times in practice. The player who trusts his own skill can ”free it up and let it go” in competition, Rotella says. Whereas ”the player who has to give himself a positive-thinking pep talk every time he goes to hit the ball doesn’t really believe that he can make the shot.”

Rotella’s greatest contribution to the already overcrowded field of golf advice, however, may be the case he makes for golf as a reaction sport. True, the ball is stationary when you go to hit it. That, in fact, is part of the problem: the golfer has all the time in the world to think. Most coaches teach that any conscious attention to mechanics should be limited during the golfer’s swing to a single thought. That’s one too many for Rotella, who contends that ”the best swing thought is no thought.” In basketball, when Michael Jordan is at the free-throw line, Rotella says, he’s not reminding himself to keep his knees slightly flexed or to check the position of his hands — he looks at his target and shoots. In baseball, the pitcher reduces his mental routine to seeing the catcher’s glove and reacting. Rotella would have the golfer do the same: pick a target — not a 30-yard-wide swath of fairway somewhere out yonder but a specific spot, a shadow or a patch of grass — and fire away. Act on your instinct, before fear and doubt start talking. ”I think Doc looks at great athletes to figure out what it is they’re doing that nobody taught them,” Davis Love says, ”things which he can then turn around and teach everybody else.”

And yet, though Rotella’s tips are undeniably useful, they cannot account for his success rate, which is phenomenal. Conversations with his clients prove invariably frustrating, yielding few, if any, amazing insights. Much of Rotella’s philosophy has a vaguely Hallmark ring to it, and his clients, in discussing it, are aware of this, apologizing — as he does — time and again for how ”corny” it sounds.

In the end, the search for an idea that the rest of us can take away and apply to whatever it is we do proves futile, if only because so much of what Rotella preaches is so familiar. ”He tells you nothing that you wouldn’t think, Yeah, that makes perfect sense,” Val Skinner says. Love agrees: ”I’ve been working with him over 10 years, and he doesn’t tell me anything now that he didn’t tell me in the beginning.”

Then why do they keep needing to hear it? In addition to being physically gifted, these athletes are highly intelligent. If it isn’t what Rotella’s telling them that enables them to win, then what is it about his method that makes it work? Dr. Frank Lachmann, an eminent psychoanalyst and a co-author (with Joseph Lichtenberg, M.D., and James Fosshage, Ph.D.) of ”Self and Motivational Systems” and ”The Clinical Exchange,” ventures that it is something that occurs in the attachment. ”The words are pretty trite,” Lachmann admits, ”so it’s hard to credit the content with any kind of magical impact.” More important, he believes, is ”a sense that the person’s physical being is being attended to — some way in which there is a response to the body. And I think that may carry a great deal of weight in terms of feeling connected and understood.”

Lachmann speculates on the similarities between what Rotella does and recent findings on the physical and emotional exchanges that take place between mothers and babies — the effects of their movements on each other, apart from any verbal content: ”There are instances in which the impact cannot be explained in terms of reaction time, because the two of them are on the same wavelength. This can also be true for strangers, if they’re attuned. And Rotella has a very select clientele — people who are exquisitely attuned to their bodily experiences, for whom bodily experiences are particularly poignant.” This process of identification, Lachmann continues, gets abstracted, so that symbols or words — or even, in Rotella’s case, a voice on the phone — can evoke a positive physical experience. ”The idea of winning alone would not be sufficient,” Lachmann says. ”It has to be included or embodied in a whole theme of comfort with one’s self, of a pleasure in using one’s muscles, of the esthetics of the swing, perhaps — which all together would lift you into some area that you feel you can’t go into on your own.”

By the final day of the P.G.A. Tournament this August at the Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., the championship has come down to a match between Davis Love and his friend Justin Leonard, who start the day tied at seven under, with the nearest competition at even par. ”I wanted him to do well,” Love will later say of Leonard, ”but I didn’t want to give him any chance to win. So I said, I’m going to go out and take control of this tournament — bye!”

Though Love pulls out in front early on, Leonard doesn’t fold. When he hits a wayward shot, he rallies on the next one; he one-putts three of the last four greens. ”You want to win,” Rotella says, following the round at home on television, ”but you want to beat somebody playing well.”

On 15, the heavens open. Out come the nylon parkas, the towels, the umbrellas. Love is unfazed. Arriving at the 18th tee, he is four strokes ahead. He smacks a one-iron down the middle, then places his second shot 12 feet from the pin. By the time he and Leonard reach the green, the sun has come out and — I know this sounds corny — a rainbow spans the sky. Though Love’s victory is assured, he takes his time over this last putt, asking his brother Mark, who is his caddy, to read the break. A throng of fans surrounds the green, and you can almost hear them thinking, Just knock it in! His wife and his mother are poised to rush out and throw their arms around him. The marshals hush the crowd, imposing a tenuous silence. ”I thought about Rotella watching me putt,” Love will later say, ”and I thought, I’m not going to do anything different than I would if I were 10 behind.” He sinks the putt. Birdie. Pandemonium.

As the Wannamaker Trophy is presented to Love, Jim Nantz, the CBS anchor, quotes the inscription Love’s father wrote in a book he once gave him:

”Follow your dreams, and enjoy the trip.”

NAILIT with 3skillsgolf:

A Revolution in Golf Instruction

Nail It by Joe Hagan

Any reference to golf from me, wouldn’t be complete without a mention of my teaching pro, Joe Hagan. I’ve been taking lessons from Joe for several years at Hersham Village Golf Course in Surrey and I credit him with taking out a lot of the complications of the golf swing and keeping the striking of the ball a relatively simple process, which, in effect it should be. Simple !

Joe has just finished his book NAILIT which he has been working on for 4 years !

It covers everything he teaches in his lessons and continues the theme of keeping everything simple !

I can relate to the way he teaches because he explains things in a simple way that makes perfect sense. One of the major things he has taught me is that when I am out on the course, to think only of the two feet before the ball, the way the club head will strike the ball and to picture the flight I want it to take. This takes all other swing thoughts out of the equation leaving me free to focus on what really matters, striking the ball !

NAILIT with 3skillsgolf: A Revolution in Golf Instruction

‘ A revolution in golf instruction.NAILIT with 3skillsgolf is the first book by Joe Hagan under 3skillsgolf. This is a totally unique philosophy that is helping so many with their golf. Never before has golf instruction been explained in such a logical manner and with such clarity, freeing you from the technical swing jargon that has ruined many a great player. Joe has developed 3skillsgolf through his experience of twenty three years of professional experience at teaching golf. He has studied all the great teaching methodologies and has arrived at his own conclusions.’

Worth every penny and a fantastic insight into the golf swing !

Dear Joe It was good meeting up with you yesterday. Seem to have always managed to miss you on my visits to Hersham. Wanted to say how delighted I was that after just six lessons with you, a year ago, that my handicap has consistently come down during this past year. Before the lessons I was stuck at my old handicap for several years and never used woods. However, thanks to you, and your style of teaching, I’m now hitting those long drives consistently (250 yards plus) and my overall game has improved. In summary, I’m now playing off 16 (15.8 exactly) a reduction of 6 strokes. Thanks once again. Regards and best wishes to you for 2008. –James Grant

Hi, purchased the book online recently and have seen a huge transformation in my golf. Had conventional lessons, videos, etc, and usually been scoring around 100 on my course. Thinking about just the three skills makes my swing feel less ‘pretty’, but hugely more effective. Whereas before i was suprised to make a decent shot, i am now suprised to hit a stinker, in fact i havent hit anything less than passable for the last couple of weeks. Hit an 86 and an 84 around my course recently and dropped from handicap 28 to 19.5 all in a few weeks. Will give the book another reading and hope to improve furthter, but most happy with what i have learnt. Money well spent. –Andy Thomas

I would like to place a testimonial on your website if that is OK. It is simply to reflect that I have been learning the simplicity of the 3 skills with Joe for the last 6 months on a serious note and cannot believe that with the one simple thought process Joe drills into you, how much my game has changed. The main improvement is the quality of shot I have deleloped, whether it be the initial drive or the iron shot into the green. On many occassions now the distance has increased and more importantly the direction and straighness of the finished product. I really decided to put this to the test when I was offered a place in the National Volvo Ameteur Qualifying round played at Bowood House in July this year. My confidence was at a high on this day and proved to be one of my best rounds ever, if fact I actually won the competition am now looking forward to the UK final at Wentworth in September, hopefully continuing with the amazing experience I have been taught. I will have to say that this method of teaching is “Unbelievable” and must be tried to be believed. Go on, anyone out there who reads this, give it a go, you will be amazed!!!!! –Andy Jackson

Product Description

3skillsgolf is a brilliantly simple, logical and practical approach to learning how to play golf well and greatly improve your ball striking. It was devised by Joe Hagan PGA, a UK golf coach with over 23 years extensive teaching experience. 3skillsgolf is ideally suited to all levels of golfers. Whether you are a total beginner, an intermediate wanting to improve or an advanced low handicapper looking for that extra edge to your game, 3skillsgolf will really help you.

The aim is simplicity. 3skillsgolf deals directly with the real ‘true fundamentals’ of golf, i.e. How to strike the ball consistently using the sweet spot of the clubface How to hit the ball squarely in the right direction How to to achieve power effortlessly Historically if you study, using video, the great players in golf, you will notice that their swings always show enormous variety and many contradictory qualities. However if you study the way they apply the club itself to the ball through impact, you will hardly notice any variation at all. The impact conditions are virtually identical whichever player you choose to look at. This would suggest a commonality around impact we should all be focussing on.

3skillsgolf does exactly that and focusses the player entirely on hitting golf shots NOT on golf swings. This is where 3skillgolf differs greatly from the conventional approach to teaching golf and produces wonderful, often extraordinary results for pupils. Remember good ball striking is not a mystery, it is a logical, skilful application of a tool that brings about an outcome. i.e. the golf club exerts pressure to the golfball and the result is a golfshot. We can all learn to do this in our own comfortable way and the simpler we keep it the better the results. 3skillsgolf lessons give the pupil a totally different mindset and viewpoint to the game. This frees the players mind and unlocks their real ability, offering real reward for the practice time put in. ‘Nail It’ is the book written by Joe Hagan which underpins the 3skills philosophy and will offer the reader an invaluable insight to this unique and wonderful way of learning

Amazon Reviews:

Like many other weekend golfers, I have purchased a vast number of coaching books and magazines to try and help me ‘crack it’ – not to mention paying for numerous lessons which, at best, provided me with a quick but short lasting ‘fix.’

THEN I came across ‘NAIL IT’ which I can only describe as a incredibly easy to understand ‘bible’ because it immediately removed all the many confusing and conflicting coaching ideas that had been dominating my golfing thoughts for the last ten years or so.

My game has improved dramatically since acquiring ‘NAIL IT’ and if and when I have a poor round I immediately reach for Hagan’s magic book which, because of its simple style, quickly gets me back on track.

My only regret is that this book wasn’t around when I first took up the game because I would have saved myself a fortune in lessons and useless coaching manuals. Believe me, ‘NAIL IT’ helps me do just that!

Amazing results from this book in just over 6 months my handicap has plummeted, no obscure swing thoughts I now just line up swing and bingo crisp clean strikes and a nice draw

Well worth the purchase thanks Joe

I have to say that this is the best I have hit the golf ball in a long time, and I owe it to this book and the fantastic and unique explanation of how the club head works with the 3 skills golf teaching philosophy.

It is no exaggeration to say that not only have I gained distance but my ball striking consistency has improved immensely. Being a PGA Professional I have read many teaching books but the 3skills golf NAIL IT book by Joe Hagan really stands out in terms of a break through in explaining how the golf ball can be struck more consistently and with less thought processes.

A must buy for anyone looking to take their game to the next level, whether Pro or beginner this book will help you.

I am a very avid golfer and currently play off a handicap of 12.

I have long been using various NLP and Hypnosis techniques to improve my mental strength and credit this approach for bringing my handicap down fairly quickly from 18 to 12.

Dr Bob Rotella Golf Psychology Books

Dr Bob Rotella’s Cure for the Thinking Athlete
As keen golfers, we are all aware that the sport is 90% mental and how many times do we get to the end of a great round and fall apart for the last two holes ? Or be in a matchplay situation and let the match slip away near the end?

I used to have this problem but since I have been using NLP and Hypnosis, my mental strength has improved incredibly and I KNOW and BELIEVE that I ALWAYS finish strongly and I KNOW that my mental strength will always carry me through a tough situation. My self belief in my game has increased hugely and this is all from consistantly listening to various hypnosis downloads that relate to golf.

I have several different topics that I use from time to time, some for putting, some for visualisation of standing on the first tee for a matchplay event. At the very least, each of the sound files is incredibly relaxing and even though at the time of listening, you might not think it is doing you any good, or you might not even remember what you have heard if you have dozed off, it is INCREDIBLE how, at various points during a round, something that has been stored in your unconscious mind will pop up at the relevant time.

I have lost count of how many times I have been standing over a putt and the thought

of ‘ visualising the line and feeling incredibly calm ‘ will pop into my mind seemingly from absolutely nowhere.

Or how I can stand on the first tee and hear this thought in my mind:

feel the warmth of the sun on your back and shoulders and remember the image of one of your best drives, hear the sounds around you, remember how easy it felt, picture the exact flight of the ball .

Anyone who wants to improve their mental approach to their golf game should really give one of these sound files a try and find out for themselves how very effective they are.

Please don’t doubt it before you try it!!

The latest one that I listened to was just yesterday, called Get into the zone by

Hypnosis Downloads.com

I was due to play the away match of a home and away county league match.

I had won the home match the day before 4 and 2 but was well aware that my opponent who played off 9 would be very strong on her own course. I play off 12 and the format is scratch match play. I have been enjoying my golf so much more recently and playing very consistently since I learned how to let go of the fear of losing.

Previously, if I played badly and lost a match I would drive home feeling very down and would go over all the bad holes and missed chances, but I have come to realise that all I was doing was reinforcing all the negative elements of my game. These days, I can regulate my emotions to such an extent that I enjoy the good parts of my game, re-live the good shots etc, and the wins but all emotion is removed from losing or playing a bad shot. This totally takes away the misery on the drive home which then frees me up to really go for my shots especially at the last stages of a competition or match because I have no fear of feeling badly if I lose.

How cool is that!

( more on how I worked on this process on another page and my blog )

Anyway, to get back to yesterday’s match.

I knew that I just had to play steadily to win the match as I had a 4-2 lead from the day before. My opponent started off with a birdie, my ball was in the bunker, one down. ( no emotion )

The thoughts from the Get into the zone download were very much in my mind and I stayed totally calm. The next hole was a par four, 2nd shot was over a hill to a downhill green that was out of sight. I walked to the top of the hill to get a line to the green, I struck the ball beautifully right on line and hoped it would turn out alright. When I got over the hill and saw the green, there was my ball 6″ from the hole for a gimme birdie !!

What a confidence boost, I allowed myself to really enjoy the feeling and walked to the next hole all square. I really felt as though anything I hit would work out for me and sure enough I was 2 over par for the first 9 and already 4 up. I did manage to win the match quite easily by 6 and 5. I had 3 birdies during the round and when we walked in after the 15th hole I was only 3 over gross.

It was a very satisfying day but most importantly I was pleased with the fact that my attitude stayed totally positive all day and I managed to play ‘one shot at a time’ and not let my mind wander and start thinking of the score or the result etc. Yes, of course, I practise quite regularly and I am hitting the ball well at the moment but the biggest improvement overall has to be the control of my mind and the amount of enjoyment I am getting from the game.

My opponent made a very special comment that really made me smile:

nothing seemed to faze you at all“.

PERFECT!!

Get into the zone

with the great sportsmen and women of the world

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to enter the ‘zone’ that draws from you the very best of which you are capable whenever you wanted or needed?

What is the ‘zone’? What happens there?

The ‘zone’ is a place in your mind where time seems to stand still or even disappear. Your movements become totally fluid and natural, yet effortlessly controlled. Tasks transcend the mundane, reaching a perfection of focus far beyond everyday concentration. When you enter the zone, even though your body may be incredibly active, your mind has a center of beautiful stillness and peace, utterly free of concern.

You can find yourself in the zone ‘by accident’, as if just transported there on a magic carpet. Suddenly, everything you are doing becomes easy and effortless, every action true and right in its very essence. People from all walks of life have experienced this phenomenon, where they stop ‘doing’ what they are doing and instead ‘become’ what they are doing. So there is no distinction between the ‘actor’ and the ‘act’.

What does it take to get into the zone?

Great performers in every field, and especially in sports, spend more time in the zone than others, and from their experience we have learned what it takes to be able to enter the zone at will.

To reliably enter the zone you need:

  • exclusive focus on the immediate
  • good emotional regulation
  • highly developed functional skill
  • control of physical, emotional and mental states

And the good news is that you can train to get into the zone more frequently and reliably, so that your sports performance can reach the highest level of which you are capable. And you don’t know what that might be…

Training to get in the zone more frequently, more reliably

The first thing, of course, is to work hard on the practical aspects of your sport. Undertake the necessary training and coaching. Put in the hours. Ensure that you develop all your skills to the best of your conscious ability. Look after your physical and mental health by eating well and relaxing deeply and often and making sure that you have other satisfying activities and relationships in your life.

And the second thing is to use the powers of your unconscious mind.

Using hypnosis to augment your ability to enter the zone

Get into the zone is an audio hypnosis session which is in effect a training program for the mind. It will teach you how to harness the amazing abilities of your ‘unconscious’ – the aspects of your mind which are outside your awareness and apparently beyond your control.

Being ‘in the zone’ is, in fact, being in a particular kind of ‘trance state’. Get into the zone will train you in the art of entering this trance state by relaxing deeply and completely clearing your mind of all other concerns. This process is highly enjoyable and beneficial to the health of your mind and body, so you will find it a real pleasure to learn.

Powerful hypnotic suggestions will enable your mind to build a compelling neurological blueprint for how you want to be when giving your best sporting performance, thus making it more and more natural and inevitable that you will reach the highest level possible. Repeated listening will ensure that you deeply embed these new patterns in your brain so that you can activate them at will.

Top 50 Jokes Of All Time

I noticed this article in the Daily Telegraph yesterday TOP 50 JOKES OF ALL TIME

I was laughing my head off at some of them although whover voted number 49 in has a very sick sense of humour. Whatever is going on in your day, you should always try to have a laugh or a giggle somewhere along the line! Just for starters, I’ll be posting one joke a day in my Mood Lifter Countdown!

Tommy Cooper dominates list of best jokes

Heard the one about two aerials meeting on a roof, falling in love, and getting married? The ceremony was rubbish but the reception was brilliant.

How about the man who went to buy some camouflage trousers? He couldn’t find any. Or the one about the paper shop? It blew away.

The classic Tommy Cooper gags have been included in a list of the best jokes of all time in which the former stand-up comedian dominates.

His famous two-line jokes and one liners, known as “Cooperisms”, feature heavily in a list of the best jokes of all time as voted by almost 40,000 people.

Out of the top 50 jokes Cooper has been credited with no less than thirteen of them.

Cooper has more entries in the top 50 than any other comedian and had five in the top 10 alone.

The highest placed gag attributed to the Welsh comic genius, who died during the filming of a television show in 1984, was one about a gym instructor and the splits.

“I said to the gym instructor: ‘Can you teach me to do the splits?’ He said: ‘How flexible are you?’ I said: ‘I can’t make Tuesdays’.”

The joke came fifth overall.

Researchers scoured the web and examined more than 1,000 jokes before whittling them down to a final 50 on which 36,000 people voted.A joke about a male bus passenger insulting a woman’s ugly baby was voted the funniest gag ever. It goes: A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: “Ugh, that’s the ugliest baby I’ve ever seen!” The woman walks to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: “The driver just insulted me!” The man says: “You go up there and tell him off. Go on, I’ll hold your monkey for you.”In second place was a regularly told one-liner about a zoo with just one dog. The dog is a “shitzu”. The third placed joke was one about a dyslexic man who walks into a bra.

It is not known who should be credited with coming up with the top three jokes. Also included in the list were gags by the British comedians Peter Kay, who had nine, and Lee Evans and Stuart Francis, a Canadian comic. The most popular jokes were inoffensive ones and often included friendly jibes at the expense of husbands, wives, blondes, and foreigners.

Less tasteful jokes about religion and animal cruelty, also featured, however.

The study was carried out after a panel of eight comic critics voted Tim Vine’s holiday joke the best of this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

His winning one-liner was: “I’ve just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I’ll tell you what, never again.”

The joke was criticised as unfunny on online chat forums, leading a research group to carry out the wide-ranging survey.

John Sewell, of www.OnePoll.com, which carried out the research, said: “It’s nice to see jokes from the greats like Tommy Cooper and Les Dawson are still up there and the ugly baby tale is a worthy winner.“Many of the jokes in the list are fairly timeless and will still be making people chuckle in thirty years or more.“The majority of these jokes are clean and genuinely funny – but a lot are pretty subjective and what one person finds hilarious, someone else may not.“Being able to tell a joke is a fine art and telling a classic joke correctly in a pub full of people can be tricky.”

1. A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: “Ugh, that’s the ugliest baby I’ve ever seen!” The woman walks to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. Dealing with Demential and Nursing Home Guilt

Unbelievably hard dealing with a loved one who has dementia. You never know which ‘ person’ will greet you each visit.

I’ve just come back from visiting my Mum in her nursing home. I was also there yesterday and we had a lovely day together, she was pleased to see me and seemed relatively content. Today however, it was a totally different story ! She was grumpy, irritable and I felt like I couldn’t do anything right ! It upset me SO much.

To explain, I live near London and my Mum is in a care home in her native Wales, there ARE valid reasons why I chose a care home in her home town which I won’t go in to here in this article.

I find it hard to deal with the guilt that I feel each time I leave my Mum in the care home and drive back to London. Why?

She gets great care, is never alone, is well fed and entertained and I KNOW 100% that I ‘m NOT able to care for her in my own home.

Part of the guilt, I suspect, comes from the fact that, 40 years ago my Mum & Dad took in my grandmother after my grandfather died and she lived with us for 12 years. I FEEL that I should do the same with my Mum but our generations are different, my Mum & Dad NEVER travelled, had the same jobs for years and years and had a whole family support network around them.

I don’t have that family support, I travel and spend weeks at a time out of the country.

I’ll write more on this shortly but in the meantime, I’ve been listening to a hypnosis download called ‘

Dealing with the guilt of putting someone you love in a nursing  home’

by hypnosis downloads.com.

So far it has been very helpful, puts a lot of things into perspective and I’m definitely a lot calmer this evening .

I have to drive to London tomorrow but when I get back I’ll write my review of this download.

Home now, it was a very long drive, 6 hours this time.

I had a lot of time to think on the long drive home. My problem is that although I know I can’t care for my mum at home I can’t shake the guilty feelings I have full leaving her each time. I just have to tell myself that the best thing is for her to have 24-hour care and doctors on-call and be entertained every day.

She is also clean and warm and has company of her own age which she wouldn’t have if she was living with me. I spend a lot of time out of the country and it would also unsettle her too much if she had to move in and out of care homes so I’ve convinced myself I think rightly so, that she is in the best place and her needs can be met both physically and mentally.

We made her room cosy, put in some of her favourite furniture and filled the window sills with photographs of the family. Many times when I go and visit her she’s sitting looking at the photographs and smiling or at other times she sitting downstairs calmly holding hands with one of the other lady residents she looks peaceful and well cared for and that helps to put my mind at rest.

I’ve been reading a lot of comments from dementia forums, here are some of the answers people have received when they asked how would dealing with their feelings of guilt;

“The guilt will never go away but it will ease. You need to look at it from a different perspective otherwise you are going to beat yourself up and that’s going to be detrimental to your health in more ways than you can imagine.

Ultimately you need to say it was not in my Mum’s best interest that she stays at home because had she stayed at home I would have become ill myself and unable to look after her or after myself which would be no good for anybody.

I have not failed I did everything I could her for as long as possible so in that sense I have succeeded.

I can get some rest and relax a little bit now and when I visit my mum I can be happy because I have the chance to recharge my batteries and give her the love she deserves while she gets the care from qualified professionals who can do what is needed to keep my Mum dry , fed and safe.”

” We need to ask ourselves what is best for our Mum or dad and then ask ourselves if we are the most qualified individual to provide those services. We wouldn’t try to fix our cars without the right tools and technology of the day so aren’t our parents important enough to receive the best medical care?

Let the nursing home professionals do their jobs that’s what they are trained for. They even have experts right there on the staff to help in any way that is needed. You could not do what the carers in the home can do because they work  only eight hours a day not 24 hours every day without a break as it would be for you  at home. NOBODY can do that without getting sick themselves!

Don’t ever feel guilty because you are getting the right care for your mum and had she been in her normal state of mind she would have been the first to agree that as long as she has the care she needs you must get on with your own life.

As the daughter of another lady in the same home as my mum said to me once,”  this is your mum’s journey not yours it’s something that is hers alone to take you can help her but you cannot live it for her ”

Back soon,

Alex

Nursing Home Guilt

What is the best way of dealing with the guilt I feel for putting my Mum in a nursing home?

I just can’t shake the guilt feelings for causing this change in her life and mine. I need to be able to let go of this horrible guilty  feeling that is affecting my daily life.

Please help.

I put my mom in a nursing home due to her Alzheimers and feel guilty about it every day. She cried and cried and still does. Support groups help, was wondering how other people cope with this situation.

Dealing with the Dark Mornings

After living in the Middle East for 20 years, I found it UNBELIEVABLY hard to adjust to the darkness of the mornings, I was used to waking up at five or six in the morning, opening the curtains and being guaranteed to see blue sky.

When it’s dark in the morning now until about nine o’clock and waking up at 6.30 gives two hours or more in the dark it makes getting up in the morning a very different feeling to what I had become accustomed to.

[ReviewAZON asin="B002YSMEBY" display="inlinepost"]When we first moved back to the UK from the Middle East 10 years ago, to help me deal with the dark winters I bought a SAD ( Seasonal Affective Disorder)  light which I found to be very helpful especially on the dark depressing days.

SAD LIghts and Body Clocks UK

SAD Lights and Body Clocks US

When you look into the SAD light for a few minutes or more you get this feeling of brightness at the back of your eyes that stays with you for hours and really does lift your mood. I now use it a couple of times during the day, especially on the grey rainy days.

[ReviewAZON asin="B00196LFIU" display="inlinepost"]

My solution for waking up more easily in the morning was to buy one of those alarm clocks that wakes you up by a rising light source , similar to the natural light of the sun, they are known as ‘body clocks‘.

During the summer months my body clock alarm clock just sits on the dressing table as a clock but I used it again this morning as a light alarm clock and it was such a lovely peaceful way to wake up. I set it to start glowing half an hour before the time I wanted to wake up and I set it to slowly fade away over the next hour.

I’m going to set it to come on now every morning as it makes such a difference to my start of the day.

Once in a while, a REALLY FEEL GOOD video comes along, watch..and enjoy!

This is a great way to start the year, the latest downloads from Hypnosis Downloads.com

I must say, I find this ad on the Talk to Frank Website very disturbing!!

As a mother of two young people, I often tell them that these teenage ‘experimental years’ are just a TINY fraction of their adult life, why would anyone want to take such chances with their mental health for the next 60 years !!!.

Marijuana Addiction / Dependence

Dependence on cannabis or marijuana can be a difficult habit to break. Although it is not addictive in the true sense of the word, it becomes such a major part of everyday life that it is very hard to remove.

It used to be thought that using cannabis was relatively harmless, but we now know this is not the case. In addition to risk of cancer, there is mounting evidence of damage to the immune system caused by long-term cannabis or marijuana use.

But, just as with smoking, knowledge of the dangers is not enough motivation to quit. most people need something more in order to overcome dependencies and addictions.

Hypnosis can help by building your unconscious motivation – the sort of motivation that cannabis often diminishes.

Overcome Cannabis Dependence‘ will help you clear your mind to focus on the reasons why you would like to stop using cannabis so much. You will find that you naturally feel less of an urge to smoke, and more like doing other activities that will help you feel good.

Marijuana is the most commonly abused illicit drug in the United States and the United Kingdom. A dry, shredded green/brown mix of flowers, stems, seeds, and leaves of the hemp plant Cannabis sativa, it usually is smoked as a cigarette (joint, nail), or in a pipe (bong). It also is smoked in blunts, which are cigars that have been emptied of tobacco and refilled with marijuana, often in combination with another drug. It might also be mixed in food or brewed as a tea. As a more concentrated, resinous form it is called hashish and, as a sticky black liquid, hash oil. Marijuana smoke has a pungent and distinctive, usually sweet-and-sour odour. There are countless street terms for marijuana including pot, herb, weed, grass, widow, ganja, and hash, as well as terms derived from trademarked varieties of cannabis, such as Bubble Gum, Northern Lights, Fruity Juice, Afghani #1, and a number of Skunk varieties.

Panic Attacks, What happens in your brain?

Back to Panic Away Page

The University College London have recently published findings in the journal Science (2007), demonstrating that when people experience extreme anxiety or panic, the activity in their brain moves from the front of their brain to the mid brain. This was demonstrated by scans showing higher blood flow to the section of the brain that was most active. The front of the brain (prefrontal cortex) is where decision making and rationalization takes place. The midbrain (periaqueductal grey area) is where survival mechanisms such as fight or flight originate from.

You are probably well aware that a panic attack is a ‘fight or flight’ response to a perceived threat. The reason the human brain responds like this goes back to our prehistoric past where humans needed their bodies to respond quickly to a perceived physical threat. What this new research is telling us, is that people’s mental activity during a panic attack is suddenly moving to the mid brain, resulting in the heightened state of fear and panic.

In short, a separate part of your brain becomes more active during a panic attack.

Trying to mentally calm the body is like shutting the gate after the horse has bolted.

Your brain is the control center and that is where the change needs to happen. During a panic attack your brain has moved into panic mode and in order to really restore order you need to learn how to switch your mental activity back to the rational part of your brain. What’s more is that you need to learn a technique that will allow you to do so in a split second, regardless of where you are or what you are doing.

Sounds complicated? Well it is not. When someone feels reassured that they are safe the mental activity reverts back to the forebrain. The One Move Technique™ teaches you to feel safe in a very simple and easy to apply manner. The One Move is called so because it is in effect a movement of mental activity.

It is a technique that moves mental activity away from the impulsive mid brain back to the forebrain.

Why do you need to know all this? You don’t.

In fact I make little reference to the science of the brain in the course because it can put people off or make them feel uncomfortable but suffice to say that the Panic Away course is based on well tested cognitive psychology and science. It is simple and safe to apply. There are no side effects and once you grasp the concept you eliminate your panic attacks. The rest of the course then teaches you how to eliminate any general anxiety you may be feeling throughout the day.

Why Are Doctors And Mainstream Psychologists Not Teaching This New Technique?
If you read through the testimonials on the Panic Away site you will hear from many people who have been to well established psychologists only to be told the same coping techniques you read in anxiety forums all over the internet. Most of these approaches date back to the early 1970′s. The reason for this is because most psychologists have never had to try these ineffective techniques themselves.

After a few sessions the person gives up on the psychologist and the psychologist presumes the client got better as they never came back. It takes a long time for radical new ideas to filter down to your local psychologist.

If you visit a doctor or psychiatrist you are almost always going to be given a prescription for medication simply because they are short on time and believe it to be the fastest solution to your anxiety problem. I am not judging these professions, many do an excellent job but are sadly too short on time to investigate the issue further and try a different drug free approach with you. That different approach is what you find here.

Joe Barry McDonagh, has been teaching this new revolutionary approach to dealing with anxiety and panic attacks for over seven years now and the results are astounding people.

To give you a little background,Joe was in his second year of debilitating panic attacks when he discovered this powerful technique that stopped panic attacks in their tracks

He had been studying the cognitive behavior approach for dealing with panic attacks from some of the top psychologists when he discovered this technique. The real breakthrough came when he made some startling observations about how a panic attack fuels and generates itself. He developed the technique on the principle that if you extinguish the fuel that powers the panic attack, you eliminate its reoccurrence.

Joe Barry began teaching small groups of people his discovery and started getting immediate results. This surprised him as he was initially unsure if he could replicate the same results. People were reporting instant panic elimination and further research confirmed that the technique he taught was not only instantly effective but also a permanent solution to panic and anxiety disorders.

He has since taught the One Move Technique™ to thousands of people in over 30 different countries

Why do you think people fear public speaking?

I get so nervous before a class presentation, or any time I’m the center of attention. I know I’m not alone in this as research has showed many people hate public speaking. Why do you think we fear it so much?
